Following the incident, 259 students were temporarily expelled by the authorities. Among the expelled students from the Physics Department, Adnan Saif’s name appeared in the eighth position. His participation in the exam has sparked outrage among students. Professor Salauddin commented, “I am not sure whether Saif attended the exam. However, this morning, he and a few classmates came to me. He claimed he was not involved in the attack but participated in the anti-discrimination movement. He provided some photos and a written application, which I have sent to the Vice-Chancellor.”

Starting Monday, nearly 400,000 government primary school teachers will engage in an hour-long work stoppage demanding their promotion to the 11th grade. In April, Bangladesh received $2.75 billion in remittance, the second-highest monthly figure recorded by the Bangladesh Bank. Rashed Khan, leader of the Gono Adhikar Porishod, has filed a lawsuit over the 2018 attack on the Dhaka University Vice Chancellor's residence, naming 13 individuals, including former Vice Chancellor Akhtaruzzaman. Rashed alleges that on April 9, 2018, a group of youth wearing 'Dhaka College Chhatra League' shirts broke into the residence, vandalized it, and set it on fire. He further stated that he had been arrested and tortured during the protests against Sheikh Hasina on July 1st and the attack on the VC's residence on July 8th, prompting him to file this case.
