In April, Bangladesh received $2.75 billion in remittance, the second-highest monthly figure recorded by the Bangladesh Bank. The remittance amounted to approximately BDT 33,574 crore, reflecting a 34.64% increase compared to the previous year. The remittance for the first 10 months of the current fiscal year has increased by 28.30%.

The court has issued an order to freeze shares held by Mohammad Aziz Khan, Chairman of Summit Group, and his family in Luxembourg, following a request from the ACC. These assets are valued at €4.1 million. The ACC is investigating allegations of corruption, bribery, and the illegal acquisition of wealth by Summit Group and its affiliates.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched a public investigation against former NCP member Salahuddin Tanveer following allegations of commission-based corruption. The investigation comes after protests from the Bangladesh Youth Rights Council regarding the corruption of Tanveer and two former secretaries. Tanveer is accused of exploiting his position to gain access to government facilities and engage in "tender business," amassing millions in illegal gains.

BNP leader Mirza Abbas stated that Bangladesh does not seek aid from India but demands its rightful share of water resources. He stressed that water should never be used as a weapon, condemning India’s use of water as a tool of warfare. Abbas mentioned that Bangladesh has access to various ports in India, like Mongla and Chittagong, and now is the time to demand water from the Teesta and Farakka rivers.

The AB Party expressed its condolences over the death of Barrister Abdul Razzak, a senior Supreme Court lawyer and founding principal adviser of the party. Razzak, who had been involved in many significant legal cases since the 1980s, was known for his clear stance on law and justice. Rashed Khan, leader of the Gono Adhikar Porishod, has filed a lawsuit over the 2018 attack on the Dhaka University Vice Chancellor's residence, naming 13 individuals, including former Vice Chancellor Akhtaruzzaman. Rashed alleges that on April 9, 2018, a group of youth wearing 'Dhaka College Chhatra League' shirts broke into the residence, vandalized it, and set it on fire. He further stated that he had been arrested and tortured during the protests against Sheikh Hasina on July 1st and the attack on the VC's residence on July 8th, prompting him to file this case.

Nasir Uddin Nasir, General Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, condemned the terrorist attack on Hasnat Abdullah. He criticized the interim government's failure to bring the fascists to justice, exposing the frontline fighters of the July-August uprisings to risks. He also noted that focusing solely on personal political campaigns has deprived the masses of a clear post-uprising political direction. Nasir argued that the primary goal of political movements should be to uphold the spirit of the mass uprisings, not personal political ambitions.

Hefazat Secretary General Sajedur Rahman has said that those accusing the organization of misogyny in relation to the effigy of Sheikh Hasina are nothing but allies of the Awami League, enemies of the July Revolution. He claims the incident was a result of public anger toward Hasina, calling her a fascist responsible for mass killings. Rahman mentioned the hanging of Hasina's effigy in front of the Raju sculpture on May 1st as an act of protest by July's fighters, which was reported on a platform named 'The Dacca.' He emphasized that Hefazat works towards women's respect, dignity, and rights, and that those who seek to suppress the group are behind the misogynistic campaigns against them.

In protest of the attack on Hasnat Abdullah in Gazipur on Sunday evening, the NCP has taken to the streets in Dhaka. The party claims that the day before the attack, several student league leaders and activists had threatened Hasnat on Facebook. They assert that the banned fascist student organization, the Bangladesh Chhatra League, is involved in the attack. "In the past 9 months, there have been 36 attacks on individuals and their families involved in the student uprisings, resulting in 89 injuries and one martyrdom. Impunity is to blame," the NCP stated. Protests were held in several cities, including Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Rajshahi, Barisal, Kishoreganj, Faridpur, and Rangpur.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stated that the party has filed charges at the International Criminal Tribunal over human rights violations during Sheikh Hasina’s 15-year rule. While seeking justice for crimes committed against citizens, he emphasized that any decision to ban or legitimize political parties should come from the people, not imposed by the authorities.

In response to the attack on NCP South Zone Organizer Hasnat Abdullah’s vehicle, party activists and Bangladesh Chhatra Sangsad members staged a protest in Debidwar, Comilla. Local leaders including Nazmul Hasan Nahid, Shamim Kawsar, and Rakibul Hasan Hridoy demanded justice and warned of intensified demonstrations if the perpetrators are not arrested.
