Former Jatiya Party MP Yahya Chowdhury from Sylhet-2 constituency has been arrested along with four of his associates. They were apprehended by students and later handed over to Uttara West police from a residence in Sector 3. A Deputy Commissioner (DC) and an Officer-in-Charge (OC) were injured during a protest by dismissed police officers demanding reinstatement. The clash occurred in front of the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon. According to Shahbagh’s OC, the protesters surrounded the Secretariat and resisted police intervention, eventually attacking law enforcement personnel.
