On Sunday night, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) installed CCTV cameras at the zero line of the Bashjani border in Kurigram, prompting strong protests from the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). On Monday morning, local residents discovered the cameras aimed at Bangladesh’s territory after attending Fajr prayers. Upon notification, BGB officials held a 90-minute discussion with BSF, demanding immediate removal of the cameras. Despite multiple discussions between the two forces, BSF had not removed the cameras as of Monday evening. Locals expressed security concerns, particularly as a mosque near the border is currently undergoing reconstruction.
Police have arrested three Awami League leaders closely associated with A.K.M. Mozammel Haque for allegedly aiding the attack on anti-discrimination student protesters in Gazipur. A DMP press release confirmed that the arrests were made based on confidential intelligence. The detained individuals are Shariful Islam Tarun (Vice President, Kaliganj Upazila Awami League, and former UP Chairman), Badruzzaman Khan (President, Muktarpur Union Awami League), and Abdul Gani Bhuiyan (Vice President, Kaliganj Upazila Awami League).

Former State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Dipankar Talukdar, was arrested by DB police from Sobhanbagh, Dhaka, on the evening of February 10. According to DMP Public Relations Officer Talebur Rahman, Dipankar Talukdar is accused in multiple cases, including murder charges related to the anti-discrimination student movement. Police have confirmed that legal proceedings are underway, though details regarding the specific case for which he was arrested remain undisclosed.
The Health Ministry has announced that progress regarding the demands of Medical Assistant Training School (MATS) students will be made within 72 hours. In a press release on February 10, it was revealed that the decision followed a meeting between the Health Ministry and the General MATS Students’ Unity Council. The ministry has begun the process of issuing recruitment notices for family planning and health departments in response to student demands. Additionally, a request has been sent to the Ministry of Public Administration to elevate the position of Sub-Assistant Community Medical Officer to the 10th grade. Other demands are expected to take longer to address.
A total of 343 individuals have been arrested across the country, including in Dhaka, as part of "Operation Devil Hunt." Within the last 24 hours, the total number of arrests, including other operations, has reached 1,521, according to AIG Inamul Haque Sagar from the Police Headquarters. Law enforcement officials have seized one pistol, two magazines, 12 rounds of ammunition, six shotgun cartridges, three knives, three swords, one axe, ten sticks, four metal rods, and four machetes. The operation was initiated following an attack on students at the residence of Mozammel Haque last Friday, as per the Home Ministry’s directive.
On Monday, February 10, the BBC reported that Hamas, the Palestinian resistance group, has indefinitely suspended the hostage exchange, citing violations by Israel. According to Hamas spokesperson Abu Ubaida, Israel has failed to meet the terms of the agreement over the past three weeks. A Jubo Dal leader, Jamal Hossain Rana, has been arrested in Mirpur for extortion. The joint forces apprehended him while he was allegedly collecting illegal tolls from vendors at the Mirpur-6 marketplace. According to reports, he was aggressively trying to seize control of the local fish market and its traders' association. When a trader refused to pay, Rana reportedly threatened him. He then allegedly attacked the traders with local weapons. Business owners have confirmed these allegations.

Police have arrested Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, president of the Lohagara Upazila Awami League and former Upazila chairman, in connection with attacks on an anti-discrimination student movement. He was taken into custody from his home on Monday at 3 PM. Lohagara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Arifur Rahman stated that Chowdhury faces three cases related to the violent crackdown on peaceful protests. After going into hiding since August 5, he was arrested based on a tip-off.
Interim government adviser Mahfuz Alam has called for an end to mob violence. He warned that those supporting an uprising must cease their activities, or they too will be labeled as enemies of the state. Posting on his Facebook page on Monday night, he stated that no further warnings would be issued. He also declared that any so-called protests or demonstrations would be met with strong action. Aleya Begum, a female inmate, died at Rajbari District Prison on Sunday night around 9 PM. She was pronounced dead at Rajbari Sadar Hospital. According to prison authorities, she was a resident of the Goalanda upazila and had been arrested on January 23 in a drug-related case. On Sunday night, she suddenly experienced severe chest pain, and despite being rushed to the emergency ward, doctors declared her dead. Her body has been sent for an autopsy.
