Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the interim government, has emphasized the need to present an impartial history of the Bangladesh Liberation War through the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. He criticized the ruling Awami League for allegedly politicizing war veterans' benefits and infrastructure. Yunus instructed the formation of a committee and appointment of consultants to ensure the effective use of Liberation War Welfare Trust assets. He called for coordinated efforts to accurately document the nation's liberation history.
