He criticized the ruling Awami League for allegedly politicizing war veterans' benefits and infrastructure. Yunus instructed the formation of a committee and appointment of consultants to ensure the effective use of Liberation War Welfare Trust assets. He called for coordinated efforts to accurately document the nation's liberation history.
