BNP leader Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury criticized self-proclaimed reformers, saying, “They were nowhere to be seen on the streets for the past 17 years.” He stated that BNP’s 31-point reform plan was designed to envision a post-Hasina Bangladesh, and Khaleda Zia’s Vision 2030 laid out a democratic path forward. He added that no steps are being taken to restore democratic processes, without which no reform is possible. Khasru also praised the late Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury for his vital contributions to Bangladesh’s health sector and democratic struggle, lamenting that he is not being properly remembered.
