Nasiruddin Patwary Demands Reconstitution of Election Commission

Nasiruddin Patwary, chief coordinator of the National Citizens Party (NCP), has demanded the reconstitution of the current Election Commission. He stated that it is clear the Election Commission must be reformed before the upcoming elections. He also called for changing the law under which the Election Commission was previously formed and reaching a consensus on a new procedure for forming the commission. Under this new process, those who have demonstrated good performance could be retained in the commission.
