After a surge in meat prices during Shab-e-Barat, the costs of beef, chicken, and mutton have returned to normal. Beef is now Tk 750 per kg, down from Tk 800, while mutton dropped by Tk 50 to Tk 1,100 per kg. Broiler chicken prices have also stabilized after a temporary hike. Fish prices, which had risen by Tk 20–30 per kg, are also adjusting. Meanwhile, vegetable prices remain unchanged, with tomatoes at Tk 20, potatoes at Tk 20, and green chilies at Tk 40–60 per kg.

Prices of Beef and Chicken Drop, Vegetable Prices Remain Stable

Most vegetables are being sold at previous prices. However, the increased prices of beef, chicken, and mutton during the holy night of Shab-e-Barat have now returned to their previous levels. On the night of Shab-e-Barat, beef was sold at Tk 780 to Tk 800 per kg, but within a day, the price dropped by Tk 30 to Tk 50. Currently, beef is being sold at Tk 750 per kg. A visit to various markets, including Mohammadpur in the capital, on Saturday (February 15) revealed this trend. The price of mutton has dropped by Tk 50 per kg, now selling at Tk 1,100 per kg.
