More than a Quarter of the World’s Stateless People Live in Bangladesh

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), by the end of 2024, there are 4.4 million stateless people globally. A significant number of them belong to the Rohingya, Kurdish, and Palestinian communities. However, experts believe the actual figure is likely higher, as many countries do not disclose accurate statistics on stateless individuals within their borders.
