BNP has announced that it will stay active in the field during Ramadan in preparation for the national elections. Instead of holding rallies, party leaders and activists will engage in organizational and religious activities. BNP leader Amir Khasru stated that Sheikh Hasina’s downfall is the main election message. He mentioned that BNP leaders will host Iftar gatherings, with the central leadership breaking fast with orphans and Islamic scholars on the first day of Ramadan. On February 6, they will hold an Iftar event with diplomats, and Tarique Rahman will join virtually. BNP also plans to hold an extended meeting during Ramadan, while election candidates have already begun efforts to build trust among the public.
