A pedestrian named Ikhlas Khan, aged 30, died early Monday while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital following a motorcycle collision in Gopalganj. According to Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Anisur Rahman, Ikhlas Khan was crossing the road when a speeding motorcycle hit him. A fire broke out at Bashar Spinning Limited in Bharadoba Nishinda area of Valuka upazila, Mymensingh, on the night of February 15, 2026. A 21-year-old youth named Sabbir from Urkirchar Union in Raozan remains missing three days after falling into the Halda River in Hathazari, Chattogram. The Bangladesh Coast Guard seized a large consignment of Indian textiles and foreign cigarettes worth nearly Tk 9 crore in Sitakunda, Chattogram. A 15-year-old madrasa student named Md. Mahim Mia was killed in a stabbing incident in Dhaka’s Jatrabari Kazla area on Sunday night. The attack occurred in the Kazla School Lane, where a group of 10 to 12 youths reportedly intercepted and stabbed him. Dhaka University sociology professor A K M Jamal Uddin and four others were detained by Dhanmondi police on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after a commotion broke out at Dhanmondi 32. A Jamaat-e-Islami activist named Mohiuddin, aged 32, died after being struck by a train while taking a selfie on a railway line in Bagmara, Lalmai upazila of Cumilla. According to eyewitnesses and close acquaintances, Mohiuddin drove his autorickshaw to Bagmara market in the morning and went to the railway line around 7:30 a.m. to take a selfie. He posted the photo on his Facebook account named “Islami Shanti” moments before being hit by a Dhaka-bound train, dying instantly at the scene. His family later took his body home before police arrived.

Laksam Railway Police Officer-in-Charge Jasim Uddin stated that the Dhaka-bound Upakul Express from Noakhali likely struck Mohiuddin after passing Laksam station around 7:30 a.m.

Unidentified assailants set fire to the house of a Jamaat-e-Islami supporter in Khulna’s Moshiali village under Atra-Gilatala Union late Saturday night by pouring kerosene. The incident occurred in the Khulna-5 constituency (Dumuria-Phultala). Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar visited the site on Sunday morning, condemned the attack, and advised legal action.
