In response to Myanmar’s devastating earthquake, the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society has provided humanitarian aid, including one ton of hygiene kits, eight tons of dry food, 2.5 tons of water, four tons of medicine, one ton of hygiene products, and 1.5 tons of relief tents.

A dispute over the sale of scrap goods led to a violent clash during an arbitration meeting in Lakhai, Habiganj, leaving at least 30 people injured. Four young men lost their lives in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Madaripur on Tuesday afternoon. As Bangladesh faces its first challenge in securing the next tranche from the ongoing $4.7 billion IMF loan program, an IMF delegation is set to visit Dhaka on April 5. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Tuesday that, under the directive of the Chief Adviser, Bangladesh has dispatched a second round of emergency aid to earthquake-ravaged Myanmar. The first phase had already sent relief supplies, along with rescue and medical assistance teams.
