Responding to speculation about Asif Mahmud possessing an AK-47, the Home Affairs Advisor clarified that the object in question was an empty magazine for a pistol, not an assault rifle. He described it as a simple oversight. While Asif is reportedly under the age of 30, the advisor refrained from commenting on the legality of his firearm license. Questions have arisen about airport security after the item passed through two screenings undetected. The advisor acknowledged the issue, citing possible privileges, and stressed the need for equal law enforcement for all. Security measures have been reinforced for upcoming events between July 1 and August 5, with no current threats reported.

Asif Mahmud, a policy advisor, proposed a plan to recruit students for part-time positions in various government offices. In a recent post, he stated that not all departments require full-time permanent staff for every position.
“Hiring part-time student workers will not only reduce government expenses but also help students achieve financial independence,” he said.
Mahmud noted that a similar initiative had already been implemented, with around 1,000 students deployed as part-time assistants to traffic police from August 5 onwards. He expressed interest in expanding this model across other government departments.

While visiting Washington, Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer may face pressure from the U.S. regarding a Gaza ceasefire and prisoner exchange.
The key deadlock remains Hamas's demand for a permanent ceasefire versus Israel’s preference for a temporary halt that would allow future military action. U.S. officials reportedly want Israel to delay its "total destruction of Hamas" plans. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently shifted his priority toward rescuing Israeli hostages over Hamas's elimination.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi has criticized the U.S. for not clearly stating its position on halting attacks while pushing for renewed diplomatic talks through mediators.
He reaffirmed Iran’s right to enrich uranium for peaceful research and rejected allegations of secret weapons development. Ravanchi described U.S. and Israeli actions as “law of the jungle” and said Iran would not proceed with talks unless it received clarity on whether attacks would continue during negotiations. He added that critics of Iran’s nuclear program should instead hold the U.S. and Israel accountable.
