The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) office in Rangpur has filed a case against former Rangpur City Corporation mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa, three contractors, and four Meghna Bank officials for allegedly embezzling Tk 42.67 million. An extortion case has been filed in Chattogram against Harualchhari Union Chairman Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury and his associates for allegedly demanding Tk 5 million from a brick kiln owner and assaulting him.
