Police in Rangamati detained 21 individuals, including three leaders of the banned Awami League, during a special operation conducted from Sunday evening until night across various areas of the municipal town. The detainees include Jasim Uddin, president of the Jubo League’s Ward No. 1 unit of Rangamati Municipality, Babu Tripura, its general secretary, and Naresh Majumder, general secretary of the Awami League’s Ward No. 6 unit.
