Advisor Asif Mahmud has accused Ishraq Hossain of committing a "criminal offense" by attending various meetings with administrative officials and staff of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) without officially taking the oath of office. Ali Mohammad Rashed, the controversial Officer-in-Charge of Gacha Police Station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police, has been transferred after nine months following multiple serious allegations. A Chattogram court has ordered the imprisonment of Narayan Chandra Nath, former secretary of the Chattogram Education Board, in connection with a case involving the forgery of his son's SSC examination results.

According to reports, while serving as secretary of the board, Nath’s son, Nakshatra Debnath, sat for the SSC examination in 2023 from a private college. He reportedly obtained a GPA of 5. However, police failed to submit arrest reports in five of the cases. In the remaining case, a report stated that Sheikh Hasina and the other 11 accused are currently absconding. The ACC has requested the court to proceed with publishing a gazette notice to summon the accused in accordance with legal procedure.
