Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, who spoke after the meeting, said the initiative would require substantial funding, for which Jamaat sought EU assistance.
Jamaat also assured the EU of its commitment to the election timeline set by the Chief Adviser and invited European observers to monitor the polls.
In a bid to boost trade relations, Jamaat proposed setting up a dedicated industrial zone for European garment investors and also pledged to support progressive women’s policies.
