At least 26 Palestinians were killed and over 50 injured in fresh Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip. Among the dead were six members of the same family. In a separate development, Israel has closed six schools for Palestinian refugees in East Jerusalem.
Since the onset of renewed Israeli air raids on March 18, nearly 1,400 Palestinians have been killed and over 3,600 injured. The total death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 50,810, with more than 115,688 reported injured as the humanitarian crisis deepens.

A senior Hezbollah official has told Reuters that the group is open to discussing disarmament with Lebanon’s President, but only if Israel fully withdraws its forces from southern Lebanon and halts all attacks. The statement comes amid rising pressure following the 2024 Israel-Hezbollah war, which severely destabilized the region. The conflict led to the deaths of numerous senior Hezbollah leaders and thousands of its fighters, as well as the destruction of a significant portion of its rocket stockpile.
Lebanon’s U.S.-backed President Joseph Aoun, who took office in January, previously announced that all arms must fall under state control — a position that adds urgency to the unfolding negotiations.

Yemen’s Houthi forces reported that a suspected U.S. airstrike near Hodeidah late Tuesday killed at least two people and injured 13. The strike targeted a residential building and is believed to be part of the U.S.’s “decapitation campaign” against rebel leaders. Additional strikes were also reported in Amran province, targeting telecommunications infrastructure. Since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict, at least 75 people have been killed in U.S. airstrikes in Yemen.

In the past 24 hours, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 60 more Palestinians in Gaza, bringing the total death toll to over 50,750. Since March 18, around 1,400 Palestinians have been killed, and over 400,000 have been newly displaced. At least 137 others have been injured in the latest wave of attacks, raising the total number of injured to 115,475.

After meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former U.S. President Donald Trump said ceasefire negotiations in Gaza are ongoing. Trump noted efforts to rescue hostages and described Gaza as a death trap that will take years to rebuild. He criticized Israel for previously withdrawing from Gaza and said some countries are willing to accept Palestinian refugees to ease their suffering. Trump reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to Israel, citing the annual $4 billion in aid, and noted that although freed hostages were physically unharmed, many were severely traumatized.

Israeli forces have now taken control of more than half of the Gaza Strip. The military reported that the largest continuous area under Israeli control is near the Gaza border, where homes, farmland, and infrastructure have been destroyed. The military buffer zone has doubled in recent weeks. Israeli troops have also occupied the Netzarim Corridor, effectively cutting off northern Gaza, including Gaza City, from the south—home to over two million people. Prime Minister Netanyahu has announced plans to create another corridor through southern Gaza to isolate Rafah.

Following the launch of 10 rockets toward Ashdod and Ashkelon on Sunday night, Hamas spokesperson Jihad Taha stated that the group possesses the capability to shake Israel. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Taha criticized the international community’s inaction against what he called Israel’s genocide and war crimes in Palestine, carried out by a fascist regime. He said the attacks on Ashdod and Ashkelon were acts of defense. Taha condemned Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit to the Temple Mount and vowed that as long as Israel continues its occupation, land seizures, and desecration of holy sites, the resistance will persist.

A 17-year-old Palestinian boy, Walid Ahmed, has reportedly died in Israel’s Megiddo prison after allegedly being denied food. He had been held without charge for six months. Walid collapsed suddenly and died from a severe head injury.

Following appeals from his family, Israeli authorities conducted an autopsy, overseen by Dr. Daniel Solomon. The findings revealed that Walid suffered from acute malnutrition, inflammation, colon complications, and scabies. Reuters reports that his body showed signs of extreme weight loss and muscle wasting.

Hamas’ military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, released a video on Saturday featuring two Israeli hostages. In the video, one of the captives says, “We want to breathe in a free home, see the moon and stars. Please save us. The Israeli army is bombing us — even the building we’re in was hit.”

He continued, “Hamas fighters saved our lives. They pulled us into tunnels 30 meters underground to shield us from the bombs. There is no sunlight here.”

Another hostage in the video urges the Israeli public not to trust the government. “They claim they’re pressuring Hamas, but all they’re doing is bombing — even if it means we get hurt. Please pressure the government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for our release.”

In the last 24 hours, Israeli forces have killed 46 Palestinians in Gaza. Since breaking the ceasefire, a total of 1,309 people have been killed and 3,184 injured. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, over 50,000 Palestinians have died since October 7, 2023, with 115,225 injured. A newly surfaced viral video shows Israeli forces firing on a clearly marked medical vehicle, killing 15 doctors.

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a tripartite summit with Egypt and Jordan in response to the Gaza crisis. “Responding to the emergency in Gaza and at the invitation of President el-Sisi, I will travel to Cairo for a summit with the Presidents of Egypt and Jordan,” Macron wrote. He will arrive in Cairo on Sunday evening and meet with President el-Sisi on Monday morning. According to the Élysée Palace, the summit will take place later the same day in Cairo. Macron will also visit the Egyptian port of El Arish, located 50 kilometers west of the Gaza Strip, to meet humanitarian and security personnel and promote efforts toward a ceasefire.

Three Israelis recently released from Hamas captivity joined a weekly Tel Aviv rally, urging the government to secure the release of 59 remaining hostages. Liri Albak, Omer Onkart, and Gadi Moses condemned the renewed military offensive, saying it endangers hostages’ lives. Moses, 80, urged the Israeli government to end the war and implement the second phase of the hostage release agreement.

Israel has halted water supply from Mekorot, cutting off 70% of Gaza’s total water access. According to Gaza Municipality spokesperson Hosni Mahanna, the supply stopped amid ongoing Israeli military operations. The cause—whether infrastructural damage or political decision—remains unclear. Authorities are coordinating with international organizations to assess the situation, warning of a looming water crisis.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned an Israeli airstrike on Darul Arqam School in Gaza, calling it a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and UN resolutions. The OIC labeled the attack a crime against humanity and urged the UN Security Council to immediately enforce a ceasefire under Chapter 8 of the UN Charter. The group also called for accountability under international law.

A devastating missile strike by Russian forces on a residential area in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine, has killed at least 18 people, including six children. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Western allies to increase pressure on Moscow as rescue operations continue. Regional Governor Serhiy Lysak reported on Telegram that several residential buildings were damaged in the attack, sparking fires and injuring at least 50 people.
