The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the strike as a "barbaric crime against the medical sector." The Israeli military claimed it targeted a senior Hamas figure and is investigating civilian casualties. Dr. Sultan’s daughter insisted he had no political affiliation and was solely dedicated to treating patients during the ongoing war. Separately, at least five were killed in another airstrike on a "safe zone" tent camp in Khan Younis.

Fourteen Israeli ministers have urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to move swiftly in annexing the occupied West Bank, citing current U.S. support as an opportune moment. The ministers warned that recognizing any portion of the West Bank as a Palestinian state would be a grave threat to Israel’s existence. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority reiterated that the West Bank is an essential part of any future Palestinian state, warning that annexation would collapse the two-state solution.

North Korea is reportedly preparing to send up to 30,000 troops to fight for Russia in Ukraine, according to a Ukrainian intelligence report cited by CNN. This would nearly triple the current number of North Korean soldiers aiding Moscow. Previously, 11,000 troops were deployed in 2024, with many casualties reported. Russia is equipping and integrating them into its units for potential offensives. Increased military transport activity has been observed, and Pyongyang is also sending construction workers and deminers to support Russia’s efforts near the Ukrainian front.

As negotiations over a ceasefire and prisoner exchange remain deadlocked, an Israeli official warned that Israel would expand military operations across Gaza City and central refugee camps, promising to carry out Rafah-style offensives that would “reduce everything to dust.”

Israel has issued fresh evacuation orders for parts of Gaza amid renewed military escalation. The threats come as new diplomatic efforts are underway to secure a 60-day ceasefire, though neither Israel nor Hamas has formally responded.

Analysts suggest these countries may begin producing and stockpiling landmines by 2025, further intensifying militarization along NATO’s eastern front.
