10 Arrested in Joint Crackdown on Hospital Middlemen

Two individuals were killed and one injured in a mob beating incident in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar area. The deceased, Nadim (35) and Masud (29), were reportedly criminals with multiple cases filed against them. Police say they had come to intimidate a plaintiff in an ongoing case when locals apprehended and beat them. All three were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where two were declared dead.

Two Killed, One Injured in Mob Beating in Kamrangirchar

Eight people have been arrested in connection with attacks on businesses during recent anti-Israel protests in Chattogram. Police filed four cases in Kotwali, Khulshi, Chawkbazar, and Panchlaish police stations. According to CMP Additional Commissioner Mahmudah Begum, protests turned violent, resulting in damage to restaurants, clothing stores, and other establishments. 8 Arrested in 4 Cases Over Business Vandalism in Chattogram

After serving sentences in India for illegal entry, 14 Bangladeshi nationals were repatriated via the West Garo Hills district’s Tura prison. India Deports 14 Bangladeshi Nationals

A joint task force arrested nine individuals, including BNP leader Farid Khan and Jubo Dal activist Kazi Pavel, during a raid on a brick kiln in Magura’s Parla area. The raid yielded one Chinese pistol, two one-shooter guns, one airgun, and various local weapons and ammunition. 800 Accused Over Attack on Businesses in Sylhet

A 28-year-old Bangladeshi man named Muradur Rahman Munna was brutally beaten to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel near the Sejamura border in Brahmanbaria. According to Munna’s family, he was visiting his farmland near the border when BSF members detained him without reason, severely beat him, and left him injured near the border. Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) found him and rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Jamaat-e-Islami condemned the incident and demanded legal action.

Following the death of 35-year-old worker Md. Yusuf, who was shot during the mass uprising on August 5 in Chattogram, a case has been filed against 25 individuals, including former Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel. Additionally, 200–300 unidentified persons have been listed as unknown accused. According to the complaint, Yusuf was employed at an ice factory on Jhornapara Ice Factory Road and was delivering ice to local shops in the Dewanhat area during the intense protests. Around 11:30 PM, his wife’s elder sister informed the family that Yusuf had been shot and killed near Dewanhat intersection.

Worker Shot Dead During Mass Uprising; Case Filed Against Former Minister Nahfel and 25 Others

The Directorate of Madrasa Education has instructed all madrasas in the country to organize two-day events in celebration of Chaitra Sankranti and the Bengali New Year.

The circular, signed by Deputy Director Md. Arifur Rahman Mojumdar, also includes traditional new year celebrations of indigenous communities such as the Chakma and Marma. The directive applies to principals of both government and private madrasas across the country.
