A luxury SUV worth crores, found in the parking lot of a multi-storey building in front of the Kushtia Superintendent of Police’s office, has been claimed by Mumtarin Ferdous Dorin, daughter of murdered former MP Anwarul Azim Anar. Dorin confirmed that the Land Cruiser Prado belongs to her father and has demanded its return.

Alamgir Hossain, caretaker of the building, stated, "A cigarette company named Genuine Leaf has rented three floors here. Foreigners regularly visit, stay, and dine there. They arranged to park the vehicle here. Genuine Leaf's GM Belal Sir and CEO Zahid Sir were responsible for it. The SUV was brought here about three months ago and has since remained under their supervision."

A bizarre dispute over tissue paper escalated into a violent clash between two groups of villagers at a restaurant in Sarail, Brahmanbaria. At least 15 people were injured. Police later intervened to restore order, but the Sarail-Nasirnagar-Lakhai road remained blocked for a while due to the clash. As of Tuesday morning, no case had been filed with the local police station.

The Meteorological Department predicts a weak monsoon over Bangladesh with intermittent gusty winds, light to moderate rain, and thunderstorms in various regions over the next four days. A total of 166,754 animals were sacrificed within the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) area during this year’s Eid celebrations. According to DSCC Administrator Md. Gopalganj District Awami League General Secretary GM Shahabuddin Azam was arrested by immigration police at Benapole checkpost on Tuesday morning while attempting to flee to India. Elias Hossain Munshi, Officer-in-Charge of Benapole Immigration, stated that intelligence reports had warned of Shahabuddin’s escape attempt, prompting heightened vigilance at the border. Around 11 AM, Shahabuddin submitted his passport at the immigration desk and was arrested after verification. Several cases have been filed against him.

BNP leader Khairul Kabir Khokon has stated that the nation is unsafe in the hands of unelected individuals. Speaking at a political event, Khokon urged that power be restored to the people.
He alleged that fascist forces and their allies have siphoned off 30 trillion taka from Bangladesh, attempting to destabilize the country with the funds.
Khokon further criticized the lack of coordination among government advisers and cited deteriorating law and order and dwindling foreign investment as key concerns. Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus arrived in London for a four-day official visit. He was welcomed by representatives of the British royal family and senior officials at Heathrow Airport. The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed 20 Bangladeshi nationals into Bangladesh across the Dinajpur and Thakurgaon borders on Monday night. All of them were later detained by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). Of the 20, 13 were pushed in through the Enayetpur border in Biral upazila—two women, two men, and nine children. Another seven were pushed through Chanduria border in Pirganj upazila, including two women, two men, and three children.

Two rival groups clashed in Alamsree village of Nayekpur Union in Madan, Netrokona on Monday evening, leaving at least 18 people injured, including several women. Among them, five are in critical condition and currently undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Locals said the conflict erupted over allegations of theft. Reportedly, around Tk 6,000 was stolen from the general store of a resident named Sohel Mia. Accusations were made against Kayyum Mia, son of Salem Uddin from the same village. Although Salem admitted his son’s involvement and offered Tk 2,000 as compensation along with an apology, Sohel rejected the offer, leading to the violent clash.
