A total of 158 Bangladeshi nationals stranded in Libya have safely returned home, thanks to coordinated efforts by the Bangladesh Embassy in Libya, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). They arrived at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 5:20 AM on Tuesday, having departed from Tripoli’s Mitiga International Airport on a special Buraq Air flight on Monday.

A Rohingya youth named Md. Alamgir (19) was shot dead in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf refugee camp on Monday. The incident occurred following an altercation between Alamgir, from D Block, and Nurul Alam, a fellow refugee from C Block. During the confrontation, Nurul allegedly shot Alamgir in the chest with a handmade firearm before fleeing the scene. Alamgir succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
