The army seized two government-labeled rice trucks in Singra, Natore—allegedly owned by Awami League leader Rezaul Karim Raju. The 16-ton, 210-kg haul has not yet been handed over to Singra police. Raju claimed the rice was legally acquired through purchases from local union council members and was meant for resale in Natore. The rice had been allocated under various government programs, including food-for-work schemes.

AB Party leader Asaduzzaman Fuad has urged caution regarding the proposed humanitarian corridor through Bangladesh. He stressed that the Chattogram port must evolve into a global logistics hub through efficient management, transparency, environmental awareness, and accountability. Fuad warned that a humanitarian corridor for the Rohingya could inadvertently drag Bangladesh into a geopolitical conflict. During heightened India-Pakistan tensions, Turkey expressed strong support for Pakistan, both ideologically and militarily. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that Pakistan will no longer receive water from rivers controlled by India. This statement comes after India suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, brokered by the World Bank, which allowed water from three Indian rivers to flow into Pakistan—supporting nearly 80% of its agricultural land. BNP leader Tajkin Ahmed, Joint Convenor of Satkhira BNP, has given a 7-day ultimatum to Satkhira's UNO Ishtiaq Ahmed to hand over the mayoral office, presenting a copy of a High Court stay order. Seven people were shot and one remains missing following a gunfight over control of a sand lease area in the Padma River near Ishwardi.
