Speaking at the OIC foreign ministers’ meeting in Istanbul, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar affirmed Islamabad’s full support for Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. “We stand in solidarity with the brotherly nation of Iran and condemn in the strongest terms Israel’s provocative and unlawful aggression,” Dar said. He mourned the civilian casualties caused by the strikes and urged the international community to take action against Israel for violating international laws and treaties, stressing the need to protect global civilian security.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the U.S. airstrikes on its nuclear sites, calling them an "unprecedented and severe breach of international law." Tehran asserts its right to self-defense and accused the U.S. of enabling Israeli aggression, thereby undermining diplomatic efforts. "The United States disregards all norms and rules, shielding war crimes and the goals of an occupying regime," the ministry said. Iran vowed to fully defend its sovereignty and national interests in response to what it termed as "criminal acts by a rogue administration."

In an official statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed "deep concern" over the recent U.S. strikes targeting Iran, particularly its nuclear facilities. "The Kingdom is closely monitoring the developments involving our friendly nation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially the attacks targeting its nuclear infrastructure," the statement read. Riyadh has called for restraint and urged all parties to avoid further escalation. Saudi authorities also confirmed that no radioactive or nuclear activity has been detected in the Persian Gulf region following the strikes.

Four Latin American countries—Chile, Mexico, Cuba, and Venezuela—have issued strong condemnations of the U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel labeled the attack a “dangerous escalation” and a serious violation of the UN Charter. Chilean President Gabriel Boric described the strikes as “illegal,” while Mexico reiterated its call for peace and dialogue. Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil condemned the airstrikes, accusing the U.S. of acting on behalf of Israel.

French President Emmanuel Macron revealed he received a phone call from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which both leaders agreed to accelerate nuclear negotiations with European powers.

“Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons,” Macron stated on X (formerly Twitter).
He insisted it is Iran’s responsibility to prove the peaceful nature of its nuclear program with full transparency. Pezeshkian reportedly acknowledged the potential to de-escalate and avoid greater catastrophe.

Speaking at the 51st Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Istanbul, Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Tawhid Hossain strongly condemned Israel's unlawful and aggressive military actions against Iran. He labeled the attacks a violation of international law, the UN Charter, and Iranian sovereignty, and urged the global community to hold Israel accountable. Hossain also emphasized that Israel’s actions risk destabilizing the region and threatening global peace. He called on the OIC to remain united in demanding justice through the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Despite the ongoing conflict with Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Turkey to attend the summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Over 40 foreign ministers are expected to participate in the summit. This visit follows Araghchi’s meeting with European counterparts in Geneva on Friday. Amid the escalating conflict, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has also held two phone calls with US President Donald Trump.

Dorothy Shea, the US Deputy Ambassador to the UN, mistakenly said, “The Israeli government has also spread chaos, terrorism, and suffering,” before quickly correcting herself to say, “Iran’s government has also spread chaos, terrorism, and suffering.” Shea emphasized that Iran was ideologically and materially behind Hamas’ deadly attack on Israel in October 2023. She also highlighted that Iran had launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel in two separate assaults last year.

A trilateral meeting of foreign secretaries from Bangladesh, China, and Pakistan was held in China's Yunnan province on Friday. The three countries agreed to establish a joint working group to enhance cooperation. In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said China expressed its interest in deeper engagement with South Asian countries. Pakistan’s foreign secretary highlighted Islamabad’s readiness to collaborate with China and Bangladesh on trade, investment, agriculture, digital economy, environmental protection, marine science, green infrastructure, culture, education, and people-to-people exchanges. The three nations pledged to work together on areas of mutual interest.

"Mr. Iravani, you are not a victim. You are not a diplomat. You are a wolf in diplomat's clothing," said Israeli representative Danny Danon at a UN Security Council meeting, directly addressing Iran’s UN envoy, Amir Saeid Iravani.

The tense exchange followed Iravani's call for international powers to uphold international law. Danon not only dismissed Iran's diplomatic posture but also held Tehran responsible for a recent attack that damaged a hospital in Beersheba, southern Israel. While Iran claimed its missiles were aimed at a nearby military base, Danon firmly rejected this justification.

The Israeli diplomat added, “I do not apologize for strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.”

Iran’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mansour Chavoshi, has strongly condemned Israel's military actions in Iran, calling them violations of international law and conventions. Speaking to the media, Chavoshi expressed disappointment over the UN Security Council's silence and urged all nations, including members of the OIC, to take a firm stance against Israeli aggression.

He stated that even after substantial progress in nuclear discussions with the United States, Israel launched attacks, yet Tehran remains open to diplomatic talks. Chavoshi also thanked countries like Bangladesh for condemning the attacks. "We do not seek war, but if our sovereignty is attacked, we will have no choice but to respond," he said, warning of potential disruptions to global oil supply chains if the conflict continues.

Religious Affairs Advisor Dr. A F M Khalid Hossain has requested the Saudi government to retain the existing quota of 1,000 pilgrims per Hajj agency for the 2026 Hajj season, instead of raising it to 2,000 as previously proposed.

The request was made during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Al Hassan Yahya Al Manaakhara, in Jeddah. The advisor thanked the Saudi authorities for their continued support in managing Hajj logistics and improving pilgrim services.

During the meeting, Dr. Khalid Hossain also submitted several proposals aimed at enhancing the overall Hajj experience and requested further cooperation. In response, the Deputy Minister assured that all suggestions would be carefully considered.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran is currently unwilling to engage in any diplomatic discussions due to the ongoing Israeli assaults. Speaking ahead of a scheduled nuclear-related meeting in Geneva with European leaders, Araghchi confirmed his arrival in Switzerland for talks with the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the UK.

Following a joint meeting, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio have reaffirmed their unified stance that Iran must never be allowed to develop or obtain nuclear weapons. Lammy described the Middle East situation as increasingly dangerous and emphasized that there is a diplomatic window within the next two weeks to find a lasting solution.

Australia has suspended operations at its embassy in Tehran due to a significant deterioration in the security situation. All Australian diplomatic staff stationed in Iran have been instructed to leave the country immediately.

In an official statement, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said, “We are actively working on contingency plans to assist Australian citizens currently in Iran. We remain in close contact with our international partners to monitor the situation.”

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) also announced that consular staff will be deployed to neighboring Azerbaijan, particularly near the Iranian border, to assist Australians seeking to leave Iran.
