According to the official Facebook page of the Bangladesh Army, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and various military camps on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. His visits included SBP, OSP, SGP, CMH Dhaka, and several other army installations.

During his visits, he exchanged Eid greetings with army personnel and participated in a festive meal. Additionally, the army chief distributed Eid gifts to families affected by the recent fire incident in Bhashantek.

Following devastating earthquakes in Myanmar and Thailand, Bangladesh has dispatched emergency relief under the directive of the Chief Adviser. Two transport aircraft from the Bangladesh Army and Air Force left for Yangon, carrying 16.5 tons of aid, including dry rations, clean water, tents, hygiene products, and medical supplies. A 26-member military rescue team and a 10-member fire service unit are on standby for relief operations, while medical teams comprising both military and civilian doctors have also been mobilized.

While Myanmar struggles to recover from a devastating earthquake that has killed 1,700 people, the country’s military junta has launched airstrikes on rebel groups.
