A Rohingya youth named Md. Alamgir (19) was shot dead in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf refugee camp on Monday. The incident occurred following an altercation between Alamgir, from D Block, and Nurul Alam, a fellow refugee from C Block. During the confrontation, Nurul allegedly shot Alamgir in the chest with a handmade firearm before fleeing the scene. Alamgir succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

As tensions escalate between Iran and Israel, Bangladesh has launched hotline services both in Dhaka and Tehran to assist its nationals. Mohammad Naim Mia (21), a college student, succumbed to injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital following a brutal knife attack in Gafargaon, Mymensingh. The incident occurred last Friday night and is believed to be a result of a longstanding feud.

The attackers allegedly include Topu Mia, his father Shamsul, Jalil (son of Islam Uddin), and several unidentified individuals. Naim's family also claims they are receiving threats. The Chief Adviser has ordered the formation of a committee to investigate the roles of former Chief Election Commissioners, Election Commissioners, and secretaries of the Election Commission Secretariat in organizing three controversial national elections.
