The Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) has revealed that dismissed soldier Md. Naimul Islam had been planning acts of sabotage under the guise of organizing a protest rally. Since August 5, he had been collaborating with other discharged soldiers to spread provocative messages and incite unrest via media and social platforms. On May 18, he planned to stage a major disruptive rally at the entrance of Dhaka Cantonment. When army personnel attempted to contact him, he attacked them with local weapons. Legal Challenge Filed Against Ordinance Dissolving NBR

At a consultation meeting with tea workers' representatives, Adviser M Sakhawat Hossain assured that their legitimate demands would be implemented promptly. Workers called for wage hikes, permanent housing, nationalization of primary schools within tea gardens, improved sanitation and safe drinking water, trade union reform and election rights, as well as pension and gratuity after retirement. Police in India’s Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh claimed to have detained 90 Bangladeshi nationals, including 35 men, 27 women, and 28 children, during raids on several brick kilns.

Authorities said the group had entered Mathura through neighboring states around 3–4 months ago. Some Aadhaar cards were reportedly recovered from the group.
