BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is set to return to Bangladesh tonight following eye treatment in Bangkok, Thailand. Rana Islam, 23, died after falling from the roof of a moving bus on the Sakhipur-Kalihati road in Tangail early Friday morning. Traveling with his wife and mother to celebrate Eid in his village, Rana had climbed onto the bus roof after feeling unwell. His family lost track of him when they got off the bus at Pabna bus stand. Police recovered his body near the road and are investigating the incident.

Jahangir Kabir alias Lipton, once a feared extremist leader in Kushtia, has been arrested by the army along with three associates.
