In Nakol village of Magura, a conflict over mosque fund accounting led to the killing of Jubo Dal leader Munshi Miran Hossain (43). In retaliation, locals set fire to the house of former mosque committee president and local BNP leader Jamirul Islam around 10:30 PM. Meanwhile, the district Jubo Dal president led a protest demanding justice for the killing.

A devastating bus accident occurred near Bhubaneswar, Odisha, involving more than 70 Bangladeshi tourists en route to Puri.
