On Sunday night, police from the Maulachak outpost arrested a young man named Nazmul for allegedly raping a minor student in Bhannara Kaler Vita area of Maulachak Union, Gazipur. In a heartbreaking incident in Bibandi village of Srinagar, Munshiganj, a mother has been accused of drowning her seven-month-old twin daughters in a pond. The tragedy occurred around 9 PM on Monday. The victims, Lamia and Samiha, were the daughters of Sohel Sheikh and Shanta Begum. According to locals, Shanta allegedly threw the infants into the pond herself.
